She is an art curator, dealer, lecturer and writer who has authored and published twelve books and numerous academic articles on Asian art. This slim volume is abundant in pithy and occasionally turgid poetic illusions that sometimes vexes the reader. The multiplicity of themes expressed are spontaneous and especially attuned to nature. Style, meter and tanka are among the many techniques used by the author to define personal and sometimes erotic evocations. It is especially meaningful that the cover has been written by the “master”. This writer has read the most recent semi-biography of Emily Dickinson. I say this as a complement to the author reflecting her style that hits you in the face and grips in its simplicity and beauty. John G. Ford
