The author was so brave coming out about the abuse she lived. It was very revealing to hear her experience internalizing and the body fighting back with illness, just how connected mind, body and soul are. The way she explains sex is love hits home and I’ve realized that several relationships I had in my early teens and twenties were actually similar in some ways. We absolutely need to educate our children about what grooming is, what it looks like and to avoid being alone and secluded with people you don’t know or whom are older than you. Such a good read.
